December is Krampus season, so Disastrid will be modeling for the November 2015 edition of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School Atlanta! She’s part of Blast-Off Burlesque and one of The Baphomettes, who are the toughest Krampus girl-gang in Atlanta.
Just like it used to be, it’s $10 to draw and free to hang out.
Dr Sketchy’s Anti-Art School Atlanta is the local branch of the world’s premier alt.drawing movement, which was started by Molly Crabapple in 2005. It’s focused on costumed figure models, rather than nudes, and artists draw our glamorous underground performers in an atmosphere of boozy conviviality.
Our sponsor, Binders Art Supplies & Frames Ponce City Market, provides prizes for artists – the model chooses her favorite sketches, and sometimes we have mini-contests to place the model in a scene, etc.
We’re psyched to be at Argosy in East Atlanta. It has a great beer list and tasty food! We’ll be up there in the balcony.
